Annual Convention

The Annual Convention is the biggest event of the year for NSBE - it’s where the whole community comes together! Expect a week packed with keynote speakers, technical competitions, workshops, and unforgettable socials. But most importantly, the Annual Convention is home to one of the largest career fairs for Black engineers in the country! Hundreds of companies come ready to hire, and many members leave with internship offers or even full-time positions.

The 2026 Anual Convention will be held March 18–22, 2026 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD. Don’t miss this opportunity to grow, network, and take the next step in your career!

Black Diamond Hackathon

From Nov 13 – 15 at the Hampton Convention Center, we’ll team up to tackle real NASA challenges at a hackathon focused on solar energy and life on the moon This is a fully funded trip - that means transportation and housing are completely covered! You’ll collaborate with innovators from across the region, gain hands-on experience solving real-world problems, and build projects that could truly make an impact. Expect networking with NASA professionals, mentorship from industry experts, and prizes for standout solutions. No prior coding experience is needed!

Fall Regional Conference (FRC)

FRC is one of the biggest events in Region II! Every fall, NSBE chapters from across the East Coast come together for a weekend of workshops, networking, and fun. Beyond leadership development and connecting with other NSBE members, FRC is also an incredible chance to meet recruiters and explore career opportunities. Many companies attend to connect directly with students, so it’s a great place to make an impression and take steps toward landing internships or full-time jobs.

FRC 2025 will be held October 31 - November 2, 2025, in Raleigh, NC, with the theme “Purpose to Potential!”

O-Zone Summit

The O-Zone Summit is a regional leadership and networking event. It brings together students, professionals, and alumni for a day of workshops, career development, and community building. The summit helps members grow as leaders, connect with peers across the region, and gain inspiration to excel in STEM and beyond. The O-Zone consists of:
