Community Involvement
Pre-Collegiate Initiative (PCI)
PCI is a program that promotes engineering to younger students from K-12. We introduce the young students to hands-on experiences with a variety of different engineering disciplines. By holding these events, we promote engineering to students of underserved communities. These events are held 4 times per semester. They are led by our PCI Co-Chairs alongside our Technical Outreach Community Help (TORCH) Co-Chairs.

Technical Outreach Community Help (T.O.R.C.H.)
TORCH assists not only the black engineering community but the Blacksburg Community as a whole. TORCH also helps our chapter participate in Virginia Tech's "The Big Event", which is held annually to support community projects. We want to give companies the opportunity to provide funding that will be used to get materials for the PCI Co-Chairs and TORCH Co-chairs to use during events. This will also provide food and apparel for student volunteers.
