Dr. Waller is passionate about working with students and creating pathways for their success. In his role, he is dedicated to providing mentorship, resources, and opportunities that empower students to thrive academically, professionally, and personally. His work reflects a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where every student feels supported and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

Joi is currently a junior pursuing a Chemical Engineering degree with a minor in Green Engineering. She has been involved with NSBE since her freshman year and has previously served as Co-Senator for the 2025-2026 school year. She believes that NSBE gives all students, but especially Black engineering students, a space to excel and develop professionally in an uniquely important, impactful way. She is grateful for all that the VT NSBE community has taught her and aims to pass on the mission of the organization through community service, technical outreach, and inclusive leadership.
